Apoptotic-Enervation (A.E)
Apoptotic Ennervation, (A.E) one of the three strains of Third-Wave Hemophage.
This ailment effectively turns the blood within someone's veins in to one contiguous scab within their blood. Hardening inside of their arteries like cholesterol and blocking vital pathways, ultimately resulting in death
Lethality is considered 100% .
The symptoms of which can appear very subtle even in late stages, but slowly renders hosts unable of completing simple tasks such as eating or sleeping without feeling immense pain.
The timeline of symptoms appears as follows;
- First Week:
-Mild skin irritation, Itchy
-Inflammation of gums
-Increased perspiration: severity 2/10
-Light sensitivity: 2/10
Host in first week proceed as normal, usually taking notice to one or two symptoms but brushing it off as a result of hard travel or bad food.
- Second Week
-Noticeably aggressive irritation, very itchy
-Scabbed gums
-Heightened perspiration: severity 5/10
-Dehydration ensues
-Light Sensitivity: 7/10
-Reduced bleeding of cuts and scrapes
-Short-term memory loss
-Minor Aphasia
Host in second week has noticed several of these symptoms keenly but whether or not they accept the disease will take them is up to their understanding. The encrustation of the circulatory system has progressed swiftly and is encroaching blockage thickness for multiple path ways.
- Third Week
-Skin Peeling
-dried scabby mouth
-reduced perspiration: 2/10
-Dehydration worsens
-Complete Blindness
-Cessation of bleeding even in grievous wounds
-Bodily Spasms
-Vascular Dementia
-Bone Marrow Deficiency
Host in third week of infection is completely hobbled and reduced to nothing but a husk of their prior self.
Those interviewed in their third phase have been known to beg for those around them to turn off the light as they believe that their eyes still see but are so light sensitive they may as well be looking into the sun, effectively blinding them. They have no idea where they are if they even react to new stimuli.
Though their expiration may vary wildly between the next day or the oncoming week, every host infected with this strain is subject to a fourth stage that takes place after the host body has expired.
Once the host expires, during rigor, Several Crystalline nucleation points will form on the host body growing out wards within a 2 ft radius around the host body
A.E Crystals grow much like Quartz but retain the coloration of the hosts blood and are covered in smaller and smaller crystals, to the point of growing down to the nanometer in terms of width.
Contact with these crystals is innately infectious and considering they shed like fiberglass, even breathing in a room where it grows is considered lethal.
